Yarn Bomb Crochet

Thanks for visiting YarnBombSylvania.com!

**ALL HANDS ON DECK!!! Our first 2015 Yarn Bomb Installation will take place this Saturday, January 31st! See the event page for more information!**

Every February, community artists, crafters, and yarn enthusiasts join forces with Sylvania Community Arts Commission to yarn bomb Sylvania, concentrating our efforts in one area of Sylvania.

Because it’s fun! The long gray winters in Northwest Ohio can be draining. This is our way of fighting the monochromatic dullness. A pop of color brings brightness to an otherwise dreary day. Winter can be fun, with the help of some crafting hands and brightly colored yarn.

Where and When?

We are happy to announce that this February 2015 we will be working with The Olander Park System to decorate Olander Park. Yarn Bomb Sylvania participants are free to yarn bomb structures at any and all locations of the park. We encourage you to visit Olander Park and let your stroll inspire your yarn bombing project. Get creative! We can’t wait to see what you will make.

If you would like to be a part of our efforts, get on our email list.¬† We will be sending out frequent updates and are always happy to help anyone get started. Don’t know how to crochet or knit? No problem! We can teach you how! It’s super fun! We also always welcome¬†volunteers to help with installation work (no sewing, knitting, or crochet skills required).
